Web Design/Development FAQ's
1I need a website, but I don’t know what is involved, can you help?
Of course, we pride ourselves on building long lasting relationships with our clients and I think that's because we see our roles as not just building websites, but guiding clients through the many options and possibilities in front of them.
2How much does a new website cost?
There's not one single answer to this question. A website design is quoted based on the needs of each individual project. Every website is unique and requires different components; we design and develop custom websites specifically for your small business. We'll ask a lot of questions, assess your needs, and give you a quote based on that assessment. Most of our sites run in the $700 - $1,000 range, but can be more or less depending on needs.
3How long will it take to get a new website?
t's a tricky question to answer without knowing the specifics of the project. But for smaller sites we shoot for a six to eight week turnaround to be on the safe side, but the pace of any project is set by each client and it can very well be completed in less time. How much input you can provide during the initial stages, your availability with feedback, how soon the content is ready - all this affects the speed of completion. The functionality needs may also play a role - more complex sites will take more time to develop.
4Do I have to be local to work with you?
Nope! We work with clients all over the world. Our whole team works remotely, allowing us to find the absolute best team for our business.
5When do I pay?
We offer a variety of payment options such as 50% Up front, 25% upon mid completion of the project and 25% Upon delivery. We understand that this is a big investment and want to help you budget for the expense in whatever way possible. We accept checks, PayPal, and all major credit cards.
6Do you speak other languages other than English?
Si! we can easily communicate with you in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish and some German!
7Are there any hidden costs I need to know about?
When we agree to work together I can either offer a set price for the project, which will not change as long as the scope of the project is not altered during production. I provide you a break down of all the components that will be included on the project as well as the cost for each on a detailed proposal.
8What is hosting and why do I need it?
In order for people to reach your website, it needs to be stored somewhere permanently connected to the internet. Think of it like renting a space for a traditional business, you want to pick somewhere safe, affordable and with good amenities. Good quality hosting, means your website is secure, and dependably fast to load for everyone the world over.
1Have you shot at my venue before?
We have shot at many venues, so there is a good chance that we have. However, if we have not, we will get to the venue early on the day of and be sure to perform a thorough walk-through to scout out the best photography locations.
2Do you deliver every image you shoot?
No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. We will also discuss at the time of booking how many shots you will receive."
3Do you shoot Quinceaneras, Bah Mitzvahs, or Corporate Events?
Yes. These are all considered ‘event photography.’ We have chosen to focus and excel at wedding and event photography, and we would love to cover your celebration.
4Do you travel to meet clients?
If possible we try to arrange in person meetings (especially for weddings) within reasonable limits. If it shouldn’t be possible due to scheduling or distance we love to video chat with you.
5If we cancel our booking will we receive our deposit back?
In case you cancel you will not receive your deposit back. This covers any loss in the form of lost bookings and eventual cost already arisen before the actual session. However, we understand that unforeseen events can happen, so we try to work on alternatives if possible – e.g. find a new date for a session.
6Do you charge for travel?
We want to keep it simple for you, so for most sessions there are no travel fees. In most cases for wedding packages travel costs are included, for smaller session we normally charge travel fee if our travel time exceeds 70 miles (one way). We will make sure that in case there would be costs due to travelling, that we point it out right away so you consider it in your budgeting.
7Are you LGBT+ friendly?
Of course! My photography is all inclusive. Regardless of gender or sexual orientation, I want to make your event special for you.
8Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
While I will always be your main photographer, depending on the size of the Venue/Event, I may have a second photographer there as my back up due to not being able to be in two places at once.
We must respectfully decline work from any person, organization or agency that promotes or participates in illegal or immoral acts, or requires us to do any sort of work we would not personally feel comfortable with. This includes, but is not limited to: adult websites, child pornography, get-rich-quick scams, racist or prejudicial websites, any mature themes, etc. All content that are produced by Web and Graphix must be appropriate for ALL audiences.
